You are not alone. I have felt just the same. It has always been my dream to see what it would be like to work for myself. I spent years in the work industry slaving at hot restaurants, working in deep snow to gather shopping carts, getting yelled at a lot, got wrote up for being tardy and poor performance and experienced more stress than most people can handle.
It was only then that I realized that it would be nice to work for myself one day. However, for the longest time I had no idea how I was going to make this happen.
In my 20’s I found myself working for a big Print Shop manufacturer. My job consisted often of guiding paper sheets on a press, rotating and unloading the sheets at the back end, cleaning SMELLY paint cans, and being moved around from position to position in all that madness. After working so hard for a while, I came in one morning and my boss led me to the office and FIRED ME!
Can you relate? Does that sound like you? There are a lot of people working everyday in jobs they are not satisfied with. In the end all you have to show for your hard labor, perfect attendance is the hands and feet that made it happen!
I also spent a long time being UNEMPLOYED and I can tell you from experience that is not a place ANYONE should end up at.
I can even recall being out of work for months on end and watching my bank account drop down to nearly nothing.
